New Century Park
New Century Park provides the location for an ambitious, well-designed, high-quality, high-yield, mixed-use development, incorporating business, commercial and light industrial units in a rural fringe setting, on the doorstep of the UK’s fastest-growing major airport. Proposals include the construction of a new £100m access road and replacement public open space. Planning permission has been granted.
Direct Air to Rail Transit (DART)
A new £225m Direct Air to Rail Transit system will enable passengers to travel seamlessly between Luton Airport Parkway railway station and the airport terminal via a more sustainable and efficient means of transport. The DART will be a fully-automated and driverless system, approximately 2.1km in length.. Work began on site in April 2018 and the DART is schedule to open for service in 2021.
An exciting new £100m commercial development, strategically sited between the airport and Luton Airport Parkway station, will include 240,000 sq. ft. of offices and flexible working spaces, a hotel with up to 170 bedrooms and associated multi-storey car park, all set in high-quality public realm. Planning permission has been granted.
