The regeneration of Power Court will be achieved by a high quality, mixed use scheme which respects its setting adjacent to the grade 1 listed St Mary’s Church.
Taking advantage of its proximity to the expanding university and the rest of the town centre, this scheme will deliver new retail and other development in such a way that it will enhance and integrate with the rest of the area and improve public spaces.
The site now benefits from vastly improved access, including:
- The recently completed Luton Dunstable Busway which passes directly adjacent to the site and offers the opportunity to create a bespoke stop for the site giving direct access to the airport
- The Town Centre Transport Scheme which completes Luton’s inner ring road, providing excellent road connections to the site from all directions
British Land, which owns the site, is working with Luton Council to develop design proposals to ensure that it delivers a high quality, mixed use scheme which strengthens the offer of the town centre.
